Community, isn’t that what it’s really all about? When we were approached by the Founders of Black Acre Brewing Company we wanted to know their story. We wanted to learn about their process and, of course, their product.
As it turns out, they met as members of the local home-brewing movement. Luckily for Indianapolis they collaborated to develop and enrich their craft. Last night they opened their doors as the newest member of the business community in the Historic Irvington neighborhood.
Calling them the ‘newest member’ isn’t entirely accurate though. Sure, they’ve been open for less than 24 hours now but from the moment they decided that Irvington is the right place for them to establish their business they have truly immersed themselves in the community. They’ve attended Community Council meetings, sponsored events, supported other local businesses, manned a booth at the Halloween Festival and even creatively incorporated some of the neighborhood lore into their ‘Spirited Brewing’ tagline.
So let’s review, community focus, collaboration, community engagement, support local business, community development, craft, passion … all terms that we at ONE 10 STUDIO aspire to associate ourselves with. So cheers to Black Acre Brewing Company and here’s to supporting passionate craft.
And speaking of community, we hope you’ll join us in our virtual community wherever you may reside. Whether it be on Twitter, Facebook or Google+ we will continue to strive to inform, entertain and engage.
